The money is already collected before you pack
A Tela buyer pays at checkout and the payment is held in escrow. The sale only lands in your orders once the funds are confirmed, so there is no transfer to chase, no screenshot to squint at, and no handing over a jacket on trust at Bishan MRT.
0% commission — the price you set is the money you get
No listing fee, no seller commission, no consignment cut, no markdowns applied to your item without asking. A S$45 dress pays out S$45. The protection fee is charged to the buyer, on top, and is shown to them before they confirm.
The parcel does the meeting up
Accept the order and you get a prepaid tracked label. A courier collects from your door on a date you choose, or you drop it at a point on your way to work. No cross-island trips for a S$20 top, and no no-shows — the buyer already paid.
Your listing gets a real web address
Every public listing and every seller closet is a server-rendered page with its own URL, submitted to Google in our sitemaps. Your closet becomes a link you can put in an Instagram bio, and your items can be found by people who never opened the app.

What does it cost to sell on Tela?
Nothing. There is no listing fee and no seller commission — you keep 100% of the price you set. The buyer pays a Buyer Protection fee of 5% + S$0.90 on top of your price, which funds escrow and their cover if an item never arrives or is significantly not as described.
Do I get paid before I post the parcel?
The money is collected before you pack. A buyer pays in-app at checkout and the payment is held in escrow, so the order only reaches you once the funds are confirmed. You never ship against a screenshot. The escrow is released to your wallet 48 hours after delivery, or as soon as the buyer confirms the item arrived as described.
Do I have to meet buyers?
No. Most orders ship with a prepaid tracked label — either a courier collects from your door on a date you pick, or you drop the parcel at a point near you. Meet-up is still available if you prefer it, and it is protected too: the buyer gives you a handover code that releases the payment.
How and when do I get my money out?
Released earnings sit in your in-app wallet. A standard withdrawal to a linked Singapore bank account is free and usually arrives in 1–2 business days. An instant withdrawal to an eligible debit card arrives in minutes for 1% (minimum S$0.50).
What do I need to start selling?
A one-time Singpass verification, which proves you are a real person and is what lets buyers trust an unknown seller. Bank details and Stripe identity checks are only needed when you first withdraw, so you can list and sell before setting any of that up.
How long does it take to list an item?
Under a minute. Photograph the item and Tela drafts the title, brand, category, size, condition and description for you from the photo — you correct anything it got wrong, set a price, and publish.
Can I sell only to my school, office or condo?
Yes. Groups are private communities inside Tela. A group-only listing is visible to that group and never appears in the public feed, in search, or on the web — useful for uniforms, alumni sales and neighbourhood clear-outs.
What can I sell on Tela?
Pre-loved and new fashion: clothes, shoes, bags and accessories for women, men and kids. No counterfeits, and nothing outside the categories set out in our Community Standards.
Where else can I sell used clothes for cash in Singapore?
Walk-in reuse stores pay cash the same day but at wholesale prices; consignment stores take a cut and may mark your item down; classifieds are free to list but leave you to handle payment, negotiation and meet-ups yourself. We have written all of it up honestly, including the options that pay us nothing.
Is there a Vinted equivalent in Singapore?
Vinted does not operate in Singapore. Tela is the closest local equivalent: fashion only, no seller commission, and the protection fee charged to the buyer rather than deducted from you.
