Referral Programme Terms

These Referral Programme Terms ("Programme Terms") govern Tela's referral programme (the "Programme"). They supplement, and should be read together with, our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms & Conditions. By sharing an invite link or joining Tela through one, you agree to these Programme Terms.

1. Who can take part

Any registered Tela user (the "Referrer") may invite others using their personal invite link. Only a new user(someone who does not already have, and has not previously had, a Tela account) may be referred (the "Referred User"), and only if they create their account through the Referrer's invite link. Each new user may be referred once. You must not refer yourself or accounts you control.

2. The reward

When a Referred User completes their first eligible order (see clause 3), both the Referrer and the Referred User each receive a Buyer Protection credit: one order with the Buyer Protection fee waived. The credit is applied automatically to the Buyer Protection fee at your next eligible checkout.

3. When the reward is earned

A reward is earned only after the Referred User's first order is genuinely completed: that is, the item is delivered, the buyer-protection window passes without an unresolved issue, and payment is released to the seller. An order that is cancelled, refunded, or resolved in the buyer's favour under Buyer Protection does not earn a reward. Each successful referral earns one reward per side.

4. About the credits

Buyer Protection credits are personal to your account, non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged, sold, or redeemed for cash. Each credit applies to the Buyer Protection fee on a single order only, is used automatically on your next eligible order, and expires 60 days after it is issued if unused. One credit applies per order and credits are not combinable with another Buyer Protection promotion on the same order.

5. Fair use

The Programme is for genuine, personal referrals. You must not create duplicate, fake, or automated accounts; refer yourself or accounts you control; use bots, scripts, or bulk methods; or promote your invite link in a misleading, spammy, or unlawful way. We may withhold, reverse, or cancel credits, disqualify participants, and suspend or close accounts where we reasonably suspect abuse, fraud, or a breach of these Programme Terms or our Terms & Conditions.

6. Changes to the Programme

We may change, pause, or end the Programme, or change the reward or these Programme Terms, at any time. Where the change materially affects you we will give reasonable notice. Credits already earned will be honoured until their expiry, except where they were obtained in breach of these Programme Terms.

7. Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to a reward you receive under the Programme.

8. General

These Programme Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore and are subject to our Terms & Conditions, which prevail in the event of any conflict. Questions? Email hello@tela.sg.
